The Big Gulp Blitz is a series highlighting different categories of art, music, images, and anything I find creative, inspiring, cool, or interesting.
Big Gulp Blitzkrieg!
I was going through the archive of samples I’ve saved on my desktop and realized that a lot of the ads I like either involve humping, nudity, or inappropriate things. There’s so much stuffiness and so many uninteresting things out there, why not grab someone’s attention with beheaded toys, boobs, or dead unicorns?

ADC YOUNG GUNS HUNGARY: For Those Who Play Seriously
Created by DDB, Budapest Hungary.
One of the best set of ads that place toys in human circumstances. Stuffed animals humping is never not funny.

ASONOR NASAL SPRAY: Give Back His Dreams
Created by Grey, Paris, France.

BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION: Are You Obsessed With the Right Things?
Created by DDB Group Singapore.
You’d be hard pressed to find a time when I didn’t think boobs belonged in an ad, but this campaign is done right. It gets the point across perfectly, it’s clever, and it’s right in your face.

THE EAGLE PRINT AWARDS: Every Time You Make A Bad Ad A Unicorn Dies
Created by King James, Cape Town, South Africa.
These taglines are crazy and absurd and the images are weird and depressing…
they couldn’t be any better!

INALFA SUNROOFS: Give Your Family A Better View
Created by JWT Shanghai, China.

BULGA OIL: Twist A Story Over A Spray
Created by Creative Drops, Kolkata, India.
Once again, toy animals humping, awesome. I’m not immature at all.

K2R STAIN REMOVER: Because It’s Rare To Be Proud Of A Stain
Created by TBWAFrance, France.

LEGO: Builders Of Tomorrow (60s-80s)
Created by Serviceplan, Munich, Germany.

CITY OF BELGRADE: For Beautiful City, Clean After Your Dog
Created by McCann Erickson Belgrade, Serbia.

L’UNIVERS DE CHOCOLAT: Chocolate With Whisky
Created by Dentsu, São Paulo, Brazil.
Some people might be offended, but seeing pictures of babies that look drunk in ads for chocolate with whiskey, will get a person’s attention every time. Great stuff.

MOUSTACHES MAKE A DIFFERENCE: Geriatric, Genius
Created by TBWASingapore, Singapore.
November is Moustache Month. I wish I could contribute. Oh…

ZAPPOS: More Than Shoes!
Created by Mullen.
These new ads are going to be using QR codes soon. So they’ll be just like those stupid birthday cards with covered up naked woman on the front that promise more on the inside. Then they let you down. I fall for it every time. Also there’s been some talk of these ads ripping off Erica Simone and her “Nue York” project.
